Does the Mindvention room rate apply only to the dates of the convention? If someone wishes to stay a few days before/after the convention does a different rate apply?

Also the Palace Station link on the Mindvention web site brings up an "invalid offer" page.

My courtyard room is $45 per night for Sunday and Monday night, plus a $6 room fee for a total of $51 per night. The Mindvention site price's are incorrect.

"$6 room fee?" Is that for those who want a room and want to actually stay in it too? Smile

Do the convention rates hold for non-convention dates bookending someone's stay?

Respectfully, I suggest that you simply call Palace Station and ask them, to get the most accurate and reliable information. I recently booked my room, and they were very helpful and clear on the phone.

Link is fixed... Room rates in Las Vegas fluctuate in price the same as airline tickets do... below is the info from the website, but you can always try to get a better rate by using any of the hotel booking websites... Danny

Room Rates for convention dates

$39 /Courtyard $49 /Tower

Palace Station Hotel & Casino will take reservations for MINDvention 2013 until Wednesday, October 19th. After this date the hotel will take reservations on an availability basis and at prevailing hotel rates.

Please call (800) 634-3101 and mention “PCIMIND” when booking your room, or click here to go to the Palace Station website.

Just called to get the lower Courtyard rate. There is still a problem with the code pulling up the advertised room rate. The operator said she will check with the marketing folks to fix the problem, and will call me back with what she has found out.

Danny, I told her you were the POC name for the event, so they may try to contact you for more clarification.

Looking forward to working this out and enjoying the convention.

Gentleman... this was my fault totally... I copied over the rates from 2012 without checking the contract we signed with the hotel... the rates had been the same for seven years and this year they have increased... don't be mad at he hotel, this was my mistake. I have corrected the website...

Here is a tip for you all... check the Palace without using the code (I just did and found 3 nights courtyard for $78 for convention days)... the hotel also charges A daily resort fee of $16.79 (tax inclusive). Even with the resort fee 3 nights courtyard would run you $43 night. If you booked at $39 a night and add in the resort fee you would be paying $56 night.

I have had guys tell me that the booked rooms at the last minute using on-line hotel booking companies like Hotels.com or Priceline and got rooms as low as $24 night. The Tower rooms were all updated a few years ago and all the Courtyard rooms have now been remodeled as well.

That being said, you can stay anywhere you'd like to in Las Vegas and some people do. The important thing is the convention itself.

Once again I apologize for the error and if you are still upset, PM me and I'll buy you breakfast at MINDvention.

Thanks Danny. Glad that is straightened out. Poor girls at the reservation desk were doing their best to figure it out.

Palace Station has an unbelievably economical "All Day" buffet plan. The money you'll save on meals alone is worth staying (and dining) there during the convention... It has always been a great choice of venue Danny; well done!

Yes. The prices are right and, since it's not on the Strip, you won't need to take a cab to get there from other hotels.
