Hello Friends...Johnny Magic here again.
I just caught wind of a trick called Short Hop. It is supposed to be a version of Hopping Halves. But maybe without the gaffs. Has anyone hear heard of it. And if so can you give me "any" info on it. I don't even know what the "effect" of the trick is. But curiousity is getting me. Thanks for any help.

It is a poor man's hopping half routine, it can be found on the "Miracles while you wait" video by Mark Jenest.

Bob Kohler also has a version. It can be found in his most recent lecture notes. Sorry, I can't remember the title of the notes.
Take care,

Short Hop by Mark Jenest is an excellent hopping half type routine using one double sided coin. I have a routine on my first videotape "Making a living performing close-up magic" that uses no gimmicks at all, in fact can be done impromptu with any coins in your pocket.
Aloha,
Carl
