--also the price those are $1.25 each and there are 40 of them (would be a lot higher if I did in piano hinges).

You are working fast on this project, good going.

Did you price piano hinges? I don't think they are as expensive as you think.

Is this model going to collapse and fold for travel?

Didn't you build a Zig Zag several years ago?

I have built a lot of Zig Zags but not on here that was a Modern Art Illusion.
Yes the cheapest I could find was $8.00 and I would need 15 of them.
This picture is flat black on inside white primer on outside

The top just drops in and locks top box solid.

This shows how the top box folds.

I make the top and bottom boxes to fold , and I make the center solid.

My goal for this week is to get the beams on... May not sound like much but they have to be right for prop to work.

This is what I use on my roller shades (in BLACK).

It is nonwoven fabric -- I like better than vinal or leather as it is not as shiny and is cheap.

I did get the beams cut out and put on. Because this is custom built for me it is bigger than most so I needed for design reasons to put on 4 beams. I will try to get a picture up soon.

It's coming together. Why did you offset the middle side black boards, this is what creates the illusion of thinness for the center piece.

Here is Jim Summers of Chicago, doing a local station publicity in Los Angles California in 1968 in Hollywood, for the Cavalcade of Magic convention. His assistant could not travel, so my wife at the time helped out.
