Here are a few new creations from my workshop made within the last couple of weeks. Just though I would share with you some of the new stuff and some of the new tools we used to make some of this stuff. If you get a moment check out these tool makers I think you like to own some of these tools for your own shop.

I complete redesigned this think for my upcoming short lecture tour and now it works very well as all of the previous issues have been fixed. For those of you who have never seen one of the many versions of this effect its a early mental magic effect that's now about 100 years old the earlier versions had problems such as a revealing tell in the top line and repeating groups of the same number which just looks bad.

This effect appeared in a couple of my works and is now made in wood.

The felt is perfectly cut and installed on the back of each board each is also installed at around 99.9^% perfection. Something that was not easy to do by the way, You know exactly what I mean if you have ever tried to cut and install felt.

The Black board on the front also is a brand new materiel that I found recently and worked well. But its hard to find as I only found one small hardware store here that carried it he trying to get more of the stuff from the rep but it seems its not on the market yet in full and he only got a couple of pieces on a trail basis and did not remember what the trade name was. So when he figures it out what the trade name of the stuff is I let you know as the stuff is really nice, not cheap but worth it. The corners on the miter’s are also very very tight. I speak more about that in a moment.

Joe Stevens told me “its the finest slate he has ever seen”. Which mad me very happy since he has sold more slates through the years than another dealer I ever known including those made by Thayer and Owens. I finally got it right.

Here's the dice tray I made

This tray was cut using Jerry Cole's Dubby miter System available from Inline industries

The corners are dead on perfect. The trays base was also cut using this system. The Dubby Cross Cut Sled System is highly recommended. Just buy both the left and right at the same time. Also if you go to one of the big woodworking shows he does run some show specials and does live demos. Its deffinatly worth checking this tool out. Its also easy to set up and use once you figure out what your doing.

That's just some of what Dr. Paul and I made recently there is about another dozen or so items in the works right now.

Now if only the Legacy CNC 2' x 4' bed 4 Axis would get here all will be well, Its finally in transit from what I told. This machine was built for Dr. Paul my cohort in the magic workshop. Its also a new larger version of the 2' x 2' machine which Legacy may have in production and on the market shortly.

Warning price tag is not for those who have weak hearts. The soft ware is also pricey but my god this software from Vetric is so easy to use its worth every penny. Beats the heck out of Coral Draw X5 in ease of use for laying out stuff. So soon I will not only speak the language of full cabinet shop, welding, metal work, machining and laser but very soon CNC too.

While magic and mentalism is my profession making stuff is my hobby. Cheaper than a shrink, well almost........

Great work...you should install a remote operated coil in the die tray to control the roll of the dice.

Did you use a regular miter saw for the frames?
