Where can I purchase the shiney sheets with a sticky back to cover a prop. Similiar to the sheets in this photo

This stuff is really expensive to buy. Sometimes you kind find 8 x 10 sheets in craft stores. Otherwise, look up sign vinyl. Again, it is expensive.

Why cover your props in something that has been used since the 70's and is pure kitsch.

This stuff is also expensive.. but WOW!! This will make any prop look far better and classier than something that screams ... well I don't know what it screams.. but Tacky comes to mind.

Prop covering is an art. . .

Many of the guys now days are having custom paint jobs done on their props by car painters or even Tattoo & Graffiti artists. Another technique I've seen involves fiber optics and related "arts" so there's a lot to consider when it comes to a finish, the big thing is that you want to enhance the props deceptiveness when you do the finish and while the old panel covers you are looking at are great, they can be a hint dated if you aren't using something fresh, so consider your options.
