Does anyone know where I might be able to find a heavy duty handle similar to what you see on tea carts or serving carts? I have done an extensive search, but I'm afraid I might not know what to call it. I would rather have something pre-made of aluminum or steel than to have to make it out of wood.
I need to put it on a heavy storage cart about two feet wide, five feet long, and three feet high (with casters).
Things are more like they are today than they've ever been before...

How about the aluminum "Grab bars" that are made for bath tubs. If they are strong enough to hold a human up, they should be strong enough for whatever use you might have.

That's a great idea! I had not even considered that...
Just returned from the hardware store, and it worked beautifully! Thanks!

I put spring-loaded handles on my footlockers. They are recessed and very heavy-duty. The handle part has a rubber cover on it to make it more comfortable to handle. I got them at a music store, and I believe they are normally used for larger cases, etc.

This is a "push-around-type" handle, and not a "lift-it-up-type" handle.
I actually have some ideas for more uses for the grab bars...
