Why didn't the picture show up.
Did I format it wrong?

You might want to check the drop down menu on your Photobucket page for image links. I'm not a Photobucket user, so I don't know the exact proceedure.

I played around with this a few months ago. Not exactly vintage but if you learn different brush techniques you can have a variety of effects.

I have several ideas for taking this to the next level just have not had time to do it.

Cardstuntman, that is beautiful stuff!

edshern, your second attempt is good, too. And yes, you formatted the image incorrectly. For one thing the second IMG doesn't have the slash in front of it. [/img]

I purchased a Ball and Vase from Cardstuntman due to the post here on the Café. His price was fair, and the trick is just as cool as in the photo. Plastic never looked so good my friends. I have a very good Ball & Vase collection, and this item sits very pretty among them.

Years and years ago I used gold paint and "aged" a red plastic Adams egg vase. Later my daughter played with it until it got broken in her bedroom. (And when that happened, I reclaimed my Temple Screen and chick pan while they were still in good condition. . .)

Hey Wizard, thanks. I am really glad you like it. Thanks to you as well, CJRichard.
Ed....Does it still work? That is beyond stressed it may need to be on medication. Smile

Took a Royal Magic Red Prayer Vase and played with it a little while yesterday.
Nicked it up a little and slapped some paint on it. I am playing with the idea of putting it in a Sefalaljia routine.

That looks so much better! not like it just came off the plastic molding machine.
Now age the rope too, or find some old rope.

You could douse it with lighter fluid, of course on your barbeque grill or another safe place. Light it and
when you see it getting "cued" to the aged effect you want, douse it with a water hose.

This will certainly change its appearance for you.

I love it.
You should consider converting an entire "slum" magic set, including the graphics and packaging...I bet it would be very cool.

Whats left to do to it? Torch? Acid? I guess the fact that you can shove a nail or pencil through it without hurting it makes it seem indestructible but destructible somehow. MAGIC. I have heard that an artist never finishes his painting he has to abandon it, are you ready to call this finished?
