I'm thinking of getting this book. Do you who have the book have any opinion about it? I generally collect materials that I could add to my close-up comedy magic.
Thanks in advance.

It is mostly a book of one liners. Personally, for material of this sort I prefer the Harry Allan books or the old Bob Orben books if you can still find them at the magic dealers.

There are also plenty of websites out there with one-liner type jokes, if that's your thing. It's good stuff to get your creativity flowing, rather than for you to copy.

Cheers

David Ginn's "Kidbiz", is better if you're looking for one liners and bits of business for kids. Otherwise it is loaded with lots on useable material.

There are some good lines, for example related to Christmas three of the 22 lines:

"Christmas, it's that time of year when you drag a dead tree in the house and eat candy out of a sock."

"On Christmas day, it's the Mother who separates the toys from the men."

"I like to get some Christmas seals, but what do you feed them?"

If you notice they are generic for almost any type of audience.

Below is the Table of Contents. If you find that a topic appeals to you, then this book is for you. Understand no book on one liners can be perfect for everyone. If one topic such as the above Christmas one liners can be used in your Christmas show than this book is for you. It's cheaper than paying a comedy writer. One good line will cost you 4 times the price of the book.
