Just looking for as much feedback as possible on this little effect of mine and the Café is the one place I haven't posted it yet. Check it out. The move is Steve Beam's but was discovered independently.

Very very nice. I want to learn that. My first thoughts before you even started twisting the cards was "not another one of these". Very impressive, keep it up....'PIZ'

I love visual magic that does not require the spectator to have to think as much as just sit back and enjoy the show. This routine is a winner. Great job! Let us know when you plan to put this on the market.

Hey, that looks good. I like the application to the twist first, and then to a change. You might consider doing acouple of conventional "twists" first, so that there's a build that emphasizes the visible twist. Sometimes, less is more, etc.

I'm curious--isn't that the Barry Price change? It appeared in Genii long ago, and in the early Michael Ammar "Command Performance" series.

Thanks for all the comments guys. It is wonderful to hear from magicians of the calibur that are on this thread.

Curtis-

As you can tell from the patter I sort of geared the performance, and the sleights, toward other magicians. The effect in the ezine is laid out differently and recently I just started to perform the effect as you describe, for the first 2 phases using more traditional "twisting" moves. In the end, instead of a color change in my hands, I prefer the card to change in their hands.

As far as the move goes, after some deliberation in The Second Deal forums, the Genii forums, and a few personal sources, is is Steve Beam's Twister. Barry Price, Paul Sherman, Jon Racherbaumer and Lennart Green apparently all have something similar, so my little trip into, "I did something original land" was short lived, but the move that closest resembles the one I use is Steve's.

On a side note, I have performed this now more times than I can count and it is easily one of my favorite effects. It is usually the one I leave people with.
