I wanna know what peoples thoughts are on which is better. I own extreme born but making bills change in someone else's hand sounds like it one ups extreme in the sense of amazement. Thoughts?

I use both! One doesn’t exclude the other at all. Both can be done in the same close-up act with no repetition. They actually complement each other very well. Can't go wrong using these two together.

I agree with Jim, I use both, actually hundy 500 2's to 20s with patter about 2s being frowned on back in the day, gamblers and brothels etc.. but they have a special power... I change to 20s and then pocket, I come right back out with extreme and say, let me see, if I can do this, 20s are great but what would be better ? 20s to 100's or millions.... I do some other effects and then go to first hand... I do 2's to whatever.. I have found first hand a bit difficult but have managed to get it down really well. It kills when you do it in their hand, takes the amazement up a notch if that's possible. I like them both but I do hundy and extreme a lot more often...

I have mentioned this on a few threads but try the 2 dollar bills, if anyone asks if you can do that with their money (AND THEY WILL GUARANTEED !!!) you just say sure, how many 2's do you have ? Stops that thought process in its steps...

LOVE Extreme Burn for that visual change. LOVE First Hand for impact it has being done in their own hands.

I say get both. If you can't, First Hand is the the one I do the most because I like that one on one connection it creates.

I prefer Extreme Burn. Just don't care for the method used in First Hand.

How many similar tricks do you really need?

I currently own the original extreme burn questioning whether I should buy 2.0. But Im thinking of first hand to combine with extreme burn as an ending. Because it happens in their hand.

Doesn’t hurt if the effects and methods are so different, Al. If you see the demos you'll notice that EB2 happens magically in your hands while First Hand happens right in the spectator's hands. First Hand following EB2 is a real nice progression of bill changing. I know you don’t perform just one rope effect in an act! But you do follow one up with another that connects to/builds on the previous one.

I've had the original Extreme Burn since its release and use it a lot. It's gets great reactions. My brother has Extreme Burn 2. After seeing it, I decided to stay with the original.

I have both.
I use EB 2.0 all the time but I feel sloppy with the First Hand performance.
Perhaps more practice or a teacher.
I watched the DVD 3 times and I can't do the part where I put the r****r b**d on the singles smoothly.

I agree with Ihop above. I love the visual nature of First Hand, but when I perform it,
it seems to look a little second hand.

First of all, people have noticed gimmick "flash" when you quickly flip the wallet (after the change). This is also
visible on the original DVD. Another problem is that the bills can misalign on the spectator's hand.

Does anyone have any tips for the problems mentioned with First Hand?

If the wallet is flashing the gimmick then it's probably one of two things:

1) Make sure that the gimmicked bills are properly disguised (with the material supplied.) Also fill in anything else w/a black marker.

2) The wallet move should be done at a very safe point in the routine. You are speaking directly to the spec and he or she is opening the packet left in their hand. All eyes should be on that or on your face as you speak, and no one should even see anything but a peripheral glance at the wallet move.

With regard to the misalignment of bill packets you mentioned, as long as the bands on each are lined up the same (and touching) that should keep the packets aligned.
