That's a nice one.

Carney has a nice routine for the money machine in Carneycopia.

That machine is known as Zupan's Money Maker Machine.
It can be purchased here:

I consider myself a bit of an expert on the money maker machines as I am co-author (along with Algonquin McDuff and Dexter Cleveland) of THREE books on the history of the money maker machine.... containing patent drawings, ads, descriptions, routines, ideas of presentation and photographs of a LOT of different money makers. I mention this only out of information as I have none for sale as they have been long out of print. You would be amazed, however, at how many variations of this trick there are.

The Zupan machine is one of the absolutely most amazing of the lot. The method is devious, the impact of the presentation is astounding. The machine is assembled right in front of the spectators. The workmanship is fabulous as well. I agree it is a high ticket - but still..... a killer effect!

Rhett,

Are there any other good money machines you would recommend that aren't so costly?

Motown - The best machines are, unfortunately expensive. IF you can find it - and they are available still - is the Mikame money maker machine. Beautifully made and works like a charm.

Amazon, of all places has ONE in stock now (from Wizard Headquarters. I have purchased from them and they are great to deal with)

I have found 2 others.

The Magic Smith web site has a stage sized machine (now out of stock - you can contact them for availability):

Penguin Magic has a blotter style machine (if that variation appeals to you) modeled after the famous Delben Blotter:

Thanks Rhett,

That one looks nice and is more in my price range than the Voitko model

And - to any of you who might be interested - H&R Books has a copy of the first of the three books on the Money Maker Machine:

Bob Solari as a very fine flat model money maker machine - the rollers are slid over the blank paper and the bill magically is seen to print. Very effective, but like the magic blotter, you can only print one bill at a time as opposed to the roller type machines which most often allow for multiple bill printing.

I've been searching for a good "realistic" looking money printer and was told that the Boretti Plate type was the best. This is not the roller type money printer but a flat type with a bill plate which you place a blank piece of paper over and then "print" out the bill. If I recall someone was selling this item in the "Lets Make a Deal" section but I was unable to purchase at the time. I also was told that this is a hard to find item so.....does anyone know where I might purchase this item?

Thanks

At one time Tim Star made a very fine money printer on the line of the Boretti Plate. Both are no longer being manufactured as far as I can determine. The best bet is to keep looking at the Magic Café for sale area and prowl eBay as well. They DO pop up from time to time. (I have both and the quality comparison is negligible as to which one is of better quality. I may give a slight edge to Tim Star's.)

I love the Zupan's Money Maker Machine! Yeah, $500 is a lot for a trick, but I'm also a collector (starting over). This is a great product, and I saved the site. I may save for this! I like the idea of constructing it.

That said, I had an Adams/Robbins/E-Z Magic roller type I got for less than $5 years ago, and blew people away with that for years, it finally being lost in that cursed foreclosure.

I also bought a Tenyo $10 bill maker. That was the best I ever had, but the $10 bill changed (curses, U.S. Mint!), so it became useless.

Solari's looks good, and the price is right! Thanks guys, great topic! Smile

Doug... You will, if you do get it, be VERY pleased with the amazing Zupan machine. It is interesting how entertaining the money maker machine still is - despite the little machines being included in so many introductory magic sets.

The Zupan Money Machine is high up on my wish list...drool..drool... I get the opportunity to do formal close up shows every now and then and would love for it to be in my show. I don't even care if some audience members had a magic set version when they were kids... I know they would love and appreciate the routine. So pretty...... come to me.....

Will the Zupan 'print' American bills?

Haha $0.45?

I have this one. It does look cheap but works well enough. Smile

I might invest in a better one.

Hi
It does work good ! I'm thinking of combining this with the effect "Cinch".
