Eight Kings A2 stack - acaan any face card

This Eight Kings A2 stack is based on glowball Eight Kings A1 next card suit rules but this version A2 also can now easily acaan calculate the position of any face card:

Using the A1 version as a base I moved the first group of 13 cards to the bottom so all the Queens can be easily calculated based on the SHoCkeD offsets and adding the constant 5 for the Queens and then counting from the bottom of the deck (face-up deal).

Eight Kings A2 Stack:
8D, KS, 3H, 10D, 2H, 7C, 9D, 5S, QC, 4S, AH, 6D, JS,
8C, KD, 3S, 10C, 2S, 7H, 9C, 5D, QH, 4D, AS, 6C, JD,
8H, KC, 3D, 10H, 2D, 7S, 9H, 5C, QS, 4C, AD, 6H, JC,
8S, KH, 3C, 10S, 2C, 7D, 9S, 5H, QD, 4H, AC, 6S, JH

I noticed a way to also do the acaan trick with any face card in this A2 stack using a SHoCkeD type of calculation and dealing from a face up deck (note that my A1 version of the eight kings stack was primarily designed to quickly calculate the next card suit therefore adding this "face cards acaan" feature makes this A2 stack more appealing to magicians).

Note that for this A2 version that the eight of diamonds is the top card of the face down deck and the jack of hearts is the bottom card.

Magician says to a spectator: "name any face card".

If a queen is named (they usually name a queen) the deck is used as is (but will be turned face up after the shill names a number from 1 to 52).
If the spectator names a Jack or a king then the magician holding the deck face down cuts the deck so that the 8H is the top card of the face down deck (the 8H can be made a short corner card to facilitate this cut). The jack of diamonds must be the bottom card of the face down deck after a jack or king his named.

Below is the cut deck which has the 8H on top (when Jacks or Kings named by the spectator):
8H, KC, 3D, 10H, 2D, 7S, 9H, 5C, QS, 4C, AD, 6H, JC,
8S, KH, 3C, 10S, 2C, 7D, 9S, 5H, QD, 4H, AC, 6S, JH,
8D, KS, 3H, 10D, 2H, 7C, 9D, 5S, QC, 4S, AH, 6D, JS,
8C, KD, 3S, 10C, 2S, 7H, 9C, 5D, QH, 4D, AS, 6C, JD

Magician says to a shill: "name any number from 1 to 52".

Regardless of whether the spectator named a Jack, a Queen, or a King the shill does the below:

Using the SHoCkeD suit of the named face card determine the OFFSET:
Spades equals 13
Hearts equals 26
Clubs equals 39
Diamonds equals 0 (diamond pip think of a big zero written inside the diamond).

If a Queen is named then add 5 to the OFFSET.

If a Jack is named then add 1 to the OFFSET.

If a King is named then add 12 to the OFFSET.

The shill names the resulting number.

The magician (or spectator) turns the deck face up and deals each card face down onto a discard pile while counting to the number the shill named.

Note that the magician could initially tell the spectator to name any face card but not it's suit.
Then If a jack or king was named the magician could casually cut the deck so be 8H is on top (JD on bottom) and then the magician could say "I will not touch the deck so now name any suit".

Then after they name the suit the magician asks his shill to name any number between one and 52.

Note that by cutting the deck before they name the suit that this makes the cut seem trivial.

I use SHoCkeD for the values of the suits:

Spades are 1 (Spade has one point).
Hearts are 2 (Hearts have two lobes).
Clubs are 3 (Clubs have three lobes).
Diamonds are 4 (Diamonds have four points but treat as zero).

Note that using the pip lobes can quickly determine the OFFSET. Example: a club has three lobes therefore it's OFFSET is 39. A heart has two lobes therefore it's OFFSET is 26. A spade has one point therefore it's OFFSET is 13.
Diamonds OFFSET is 0.

Therefore once the suit is named the shill instantly knows the offset. Then if Jack add 1, if Queen add 5, if King add 12.

This A2 stack can also do the "next card" calculation by using the mnemonic story to know the value of the next card and the following suit rules to know the suit of the next card:

My (glowball) 8 Kings (odd/even rules on following card of two):

if the next card is an odd number card then its suit is one notch from the card that proceeded it (in SHCD progression) to the next suit.

if the next card is an even number card then it has the same color suit as the card before it (but different suit).

This feature is not used when doing an acaan calculation, but is used when doing a trick where the deck is cut and when glimpsing the bottom card in order to know what the top card of the deck is. This feature is also used when the deck is cut and several cards are dealt and the magician needs to know the next card, and then the next card, and then the next card, and then the next card etc.

I wonder if the groups of 13 cards could be arranged so the count can be done from a face down deck? without messing up the next card suit rules? Especially the jump from an eight to a jack?

I'm going to call the below version the Eight Kings A3 stack (note that within each group of 13 cards they are in the exact same sequence as the A2 stack, however the 4 groups of 13 are in a different order to each other to facilitate counting from a face down deck).

8S, KH, 3C, 10S, 2C, 7D, 9S, 5H, QD, 4H, AC, 6S, JH,
8H, KC, 3D, 10H, 2D, 7S, 9H, 5C, QS, 4C, AD, 6H, JC
8C, KD, 3S, 10C, 2S, 7H, 9C, 5D, QH, 4D, AS, 6C, JD,
8D, KS, 3H, 10D, 2H, 7C, 9D, 5S, QC, 4S, AH, 6D, JS,

When doing the acaan count hold the above A3 stack face down and deal and count the cards from the top of the deck turning each card face up onto a discard pile until reaching the number that the shill said.

The shill determines the OFFSET the same way as the A2 stack (diamonds equals zero, spades equals 13, hearts equals 26, clubs equals 39).
Then A3 calculation:
If Queen add 9.
If King add 2.
If Jack add 13.

For this A3 stack if a Jack or King is named the magician must cut the deck so that the 8C is on top and the JC is on the bottom of the deck (make the 8C a short corner card).

The A3 odd/even suit rules when doing "next card determination" is the same rules as A1 and A2 except when going from a Jack to an Eight the suit will be the exact same suit (the suit of the Eight will be the same as the suit of the immediate proceeding Jack).

The pros and cons of the A2 versus the A3 version:

Pros for the A2 stack:
It only has two rules when doing a "next card determination" whereas the A3 stack has three rules.

Pros for the A3 stack:
When doing the acaan trick the magician deals from a normal face down deck (this also allows for a dramatic verbal buildup just before revealing the named card).

See the below link for how to do the 6 card suitability spy trick using this A2 or A3 stack.
