I have a favourite packet card trick by Nick Trost which I had got many years ago from the Supreme Magic Co of England. This featured comical picture cards of a missionary and some cannibals. In the story, the missionary disappears a couple of times leaving just cannibals until the final funny ending. I still have the trick and love to perform it, though of course I could do with a replacement set of cards!
I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a modern version of it anywhere? I think if this was produced again it would sell quite well as it's very visual magic with a light-hearted theme and a good climax.

Hi kris attard! There have been lots of takes on the cannibal cards over the years - I first saw this on Michael Ammar's ETM series - I really love it. Eugene Burger does an excellent version also.

I know that L&L have produced a DVD of this - perhaps if you can't locate your exact (or even an approximate) set of new cannibals and missionaries you might be inspired by other magicians performances. Here is the link --> http://www.llpub.com/zenshop/index.php?m......_id=2518

An alternative would be to construct your own - or perhaps revive your current set. I'm not really sure if this will work for you, but it's an idea. There are lots of posts here about techniques for achieving this.

Good luck!
