10. Eastbourne Convention Was Very Poor
--------------------------------------------
Message by Peter J. Levins

I have missed a few conventions due to heart surgery and many
other medical complications, but recently I have had from a very
reliable source, a report saying, that the Eastbourne convention
was very poor, there was nothing good to report about it,
apparently the gala show was the worst ever and the only positive
comment was about a juggler, I did not get his name, the dealers
did not come off too brightly either, nothing exciting to report
about them, nothing new.

The above report is not very pleasant to hear but it is fact, the
standard of magic is going downhill all the time and some drastic
steps need to be taken to help improve it.

Another comment about the convention was, the average age of the
visitors to the convention was about 70. It seems that there are
no young magicians attending conventions, I wonder why?

I remain

Magically Yours
