Not sure if this is old or new news, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this soon-to-be released film written and directed (I believe) by Peter Facinelli. It's called "Looises". It's about a New York City Pickpocket, made "good:

Bobby (Facinelli), a New York pickpocket, enjoys the free lifestyle he has until one day he is confronted by his ex-girlfriend Lucy (Alexander) who says she is pregnant with his child. She gives him a chance to leave his daily life and take responsibility of his child.

Seems like this film, "Loosies, was in theatres "last" January, 2012. IN fact, I just finished wathcing it on Netflix. Excellent storyline. Well filmed. Great acting. And a little pickpocketing to boot. Coached by accomplished theatrical Magician/Entertainer, Marc Gilday. Great job Marc!
