It's interesting that he's not denying being in the Ukraine, being in the hotel room and talking about, maybe even accepting the bribe.
He's claiming he was beginning to think that it was the Russian mafia he was dealing with, and for his own safety, he took what was offered and got out of Dodge as quickly as he could. He apparently didn't tell anybody about the incident upon his return home though, and only came clean when the News of the World made it a big story. No Russian mafia though.........but apparently a News of the World sting. |
