Whats the best method of bringing in a cold deck. and where can I find the method. I know a few methods but I wanted to get a poll before I put time into one
you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all the time but never all of the people all the time.

The best method of bringing one in is with a cold deck hold-out. Why you say that?

As good as I am with doing cold deck moves (I don't teach) my problem was getting my deck out with people on both sides of me in order to switch the deck in. So to solve that problem I just purchased me a cold deck hold-out of which I'm telling you to get. I hope that this solves my problem of which I'm sure it will.

I hope that this info. has been of some help to you.

Doc

P.S. Jeff thanks for the compliment, I hope that we can get together and practice again in the near future. I appreciate all the help that you've given me.

Ida Summers was the greatest cold deck mechanic. If you can track her down she could teach you a thing or two about the cold deck. This lady put cold decks in at the blackjack tables. Cool or what?
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

"Charlie" does a pretty smooth cold deck switch in Sal Piacente's POKER CHEATS EXPOSED . It doesn't touch Doc's but since Doc's work isn't readily available I believe that "Charlies" version is the smoothest yet explained on video or DVD . Again...Doc is in a one person league (as far as I've seen ) - too bad he won't release this stuff to the fraternity .

As Doc Holiday once said "I beg to differ."

Because this is the only person you heard of cold decking and a casino at that doesn't mean that she was the best. Did she have nerves? Yes. But was she the best? I don't think so.

Don't Mean to Offend

All of the shows that appear on T.V, is mostly put on by the whites about the whites, us blacks have our legends too but they are hardly ever spoken about and many of these hustlers ran rings around those who ya'll call great especially Scarne when he came to the service men and got hustled by one of my teachers who just recently died.

Why is it that in (I'm not sure about the year) 1963 when the blacks went down town to the pool tournament that they wouldn't let us play and when the guys were about to mess up the hotel that the owner came out and asked why were they going to do that to his hotel. The guys said that we had a pool player that beat everybody that was at the tournament so why wouldn't they let us in to play. That hotel owner was a very kind man and went and asked the other players about this player and when they said that he was good the hotel owner gave him a chance to play but not in that tournament but in next years tournament (1964 of which he won).

He was never acknowledge for that 1964 championship because he was black until the 1990's of which he still beat that best black player at that time. When he started getting endorsements he suddenly died of a heart attack. His name was Cisero Murphy.

http://www.bca-pool.com/industry/hof/ind92-96.shtml

Cisero Murphy
1937 - 1996
Inducted 1995

CISERO MURPHY: Born to a Brooklyn, New York family in 1937, James Cisero Murphy was the first and only African-American ever to win a world or U.S. national billiard title. He started by taking the New York City championship at age 16. While in his 20's he won the Eastern States 14.1 Championship six straight times against top competition, but because of his race was not invited to compete in world title events until 1965, when he won the Burbank World Invitational 14.1 tournament, beating Joe Balsis, Jimmy Moore and Luther Lassiter. Murphy remains the only player in the history of pocket billiards competition to win a world title on his first attempt. He continued to place near the top in straight pool events during the 1960s and, two decades later, had a winning record in the 1983 BCA U.S. Open 14.1 Championship. Murphy has posted several competitive high runs of over 250 balls.

This is the story/movie that I want do and you'll see who was the best. Cliff Joyner is one of our best now.

Just for the record, if all the best cheats in the world was coming to visit me in order to meet and teach me, I would be the best too but since they're not I don't mind the position I'm in.

Remembering Our Legends

Signed

Regarding cold deck switches, my advice to you sodman or whoever else interested is to study the switches that look deceptive and rework them in your own hands. I would recommend viewing Doc's switches if you can get ahold of them or just watch somebody like Steve Forte bring in another deck. As for Charlie's switch, I agree it is very smooth and gets the job done. But it's really nothing new, nor an amazing method. He adapted it to his hands and made it look incredibly smooth. Since everybody has different hands, you need to practice. Recording yourself from multiple angles as well as using mirrors that cover different areas is a good tip.

True on both points but I think it is mostly magicians who are seeking to entertain themselves that would require the METHOD to be amazing , or NEW for that matter . Is it the most DECEPTIVE cold deck switch commercially available on video or DVD ? ... I would personally say yes .
Sodman12 : I have no reference to provide as to where you or anyone could see Doc's incredible work on the cold deck switch ; but then again if that's your reason for asking you could have asked Doc ... If you require further personal info please provide me with your full name , address , phone # , credit card # with date of expiry , and the four digit confirmation # on the back of your credit card . : )

Lapping is okay and it gets you the money but it also can get you killed especially if any of those cards drop. Lapping to me is obsolete. If anyone ever catch me lapping except if I'm demonstrating some obsolete cold deck moves, just shoot me; you have my permission.

As a matter of fact now that I've got the cold deck hold out I think that that really needs to be improved upon too. That's what I'm gonna do...invent a new cold deck hold out device. The cold deck hold out has a string of which I don't like that can get in the way of you dropping that deck into the pouch also the deck holder that holds the deck should be calapsable once the deck leaves the holder and the device should be able to be activated by the stomache and have wheels.

I guess this will be my new homework assignement. Now where can I find a machinist?

Respectfully
