Well it is a bit crazy as you could be arrested for cheating. Would a jury believe you when you told them "I was just practicing my second deal in a casino where I work and where people happen to be betting money on the cards that I deal."
If you do get arrested plead insanity is my advice.


I would like to find a dealer dealing seconds in a casino becuse I would bet the max every hand and if I won I would be happy and say nothing but if I should lose I would sue the casino for cheating me. What could the casino say to me: Sorry sir our dealer was not cheating you he was just practicing his second deal.

Hi tommy, when I asked dowser those questions, I wasn't trying to be a smartass, but I was just wondering what would you tell someone in that scenario?? Was I really cheating anyone?? As far as I am concerned, I don't think I broke the rules of the game as the identity of the cards were not known... I broke house procedures, but I don't think that would warrant cheating... Yes the people were betting money on the cards I dealt, but where did the money go?? it didn't end up in mine or the casino's pocket, it went back to the same players less the rake:)...regarding your second paragraph, I didn't understand what you meant by betting the max because I was talking about poker... I would also like to talk about when the dealer accidentally flips a card face up(this happens) the usual procedure is to continue dealing then go back to the person and give him a new card while the exposed card becomes the first burn card...now what if the 3 matching cards come out on the flop?? does the player have the right to claim being cheated out of the pot?? what are your thoughts..

I can definitely see how people would believe dropping a card face up was just an accident because.

Breaching house procedure can reasonably be construed as cheating. You are attempting to change the outcome of the game. No matter who wins, a casino who discovered your moves would be obligated to at least write you up (and more than likely fire you), as you are compromising the integrity of the game.

If you're going to make the moves, you might as well make it worth it and cash in. Just my opinion...

what are you talking about??? the Ex(C.N.E.) has had poker since 96' but you are correct about BJ, they only had shoes no single deck... I was talking about poker though...but since you mentioned shoes, I can also deal seconds from a shoe, its actually not as hard as it sounds...

Surveillance trainees learn how to detect cheating-type play, and are thus not restricted to known methods. I think it's important to remind ourselves that anything out of ordinary will attract the attention of surveillance. Indeed that goes for players in privte games to as they note anything that just don't look right.

That's the key, right there, Tommy.
I can't tell you how many times we concluded successfull investigations in surveillance that started with, "I don't know WTF it is, boss, but I know it don't look right."
That's why I still like the crossfire and the percentage plays...they mostly look right and natural. They don't bring any heat, unless someone gets stupid, or worse..., greedy.
