I bought a book that shows you how to make things out of dollar bills. Things like elephants, peacocks, bow ties, rings, frogs, etc. I was thinking of using an origami dollar bill animal for a routine. Any suggestions? Smile

Have you read any of Robert Neale's books? Like "Folding Money Fooling " or "Tricks of the Imagination "? How about Michael Close Workers series lots of good stuff there too.

Hope this helps. - Nicodemus

Money Folding Fooling is a great book as are the Workers series by Mike Close. There are also several Origami Books in the public domain. Robert Harbin was a prolific writer on Origami, but his books are published in England and are often out of print in the US. http://www.abebooks.com has a lot of books on origami inlcuding Harbin. Of course you can take the easy way and consider buying a DVD on Origami that is available from http://www.loomismagic.com

Happy folding!

Go to Loomis magic as Lefty recommends. I absolutely love his 2 DVD set which, for an origami-illiterate like me, made learning the folds a breeze (well, kind of... Smile). You won't be disappointed.

The Mike Close Workers series has a number of tricks using origami. His OOH AH Bird effect is easy to do and uses a Flapping Bird (traditional origami). You could use the Dollar Dragon from the Money Menagerie series and perhaps change the patter to the O' Dragon. I say, "The Dragon is not Irish, it's what she says when she lays her egg!" You will have to read Close's handling to understand the joke.

Also the Money Menagerie Series has a beating heart created by David Petty and it could be used for a number of effects. "The Tell Tale Heart" might be an idea for you Bizarre Magic fans.

Mike Close also has an Origami Bill production via Dai Vernon, and you could use any dollar fold and produce it.

Again, Loomis Magic has one of the largest selections of Origami material to look at.

Your welcome Dennis
