Hello:
I have a question about manufacturing a couple items that Mak Magic currently produces, specifically the Don Alan Egg Can. From time to time, I've bought the Mak cans, and have refinished them and sold them. However, I'm thinking that a larger and nicer set up would really be nice, and profitable.
My question is...does this item belong to Mak or is it public domain material where they just happen to be the only ones currently producing it?
I have no desire to take another's material, so I won't even consider this if there's any question at all. I just don't know anything about the history of this, so I'm hoping someone can help.
Thanks for your time.

If we apply the rules that govern the real world of IP regulation and protection it would be pretty safe to say that any prop created by Don Alan would be in the public domain by now.
