Here is my new web site, please check it out, and offer any advice to make it better.
It is still a work in progress.
Thanks for taking time to look at this and give feedback!

When you look at the opening page, the picture, it does not say "Fun" except the "Funhouse". You don't look like you are having FUN, in reality maybe you are, and that split second the pic was taken, you had a different look on your face. Even the little girl does not look like she is having FUN, she is in a posed smile, The clown does not look like they are having fun either,,, so Why would I want to book you?

Yeah, that photo up the top is terrible. You look like you've just been punched in the stomach.

You've also got a page about how you're a kids show specialist, and then on another you're talking about mentalism and tradeshows!

Personally I have always felt that a video does more harm than good! The video was cute but it my opinion very boring. The only video I feel that actaully helps a performer is a demo video with various clips of the audience laughing and reviews from the parents, etc. The person watching the video is not at the show and the energy level is different than if they were there live. This is just my opinion!

The site is easy to navigate around but there is much there.

P.S. You also need a USP!

How do you do the USP?

A UPS is a Unique Selling Proposition. What makes you stand out? It can a tagline, slogan, etc. It needs to grab the attention of the person right away. Your site has a good layout, it just needs to stand out more. I would get rid of the video right away. I can see moms looking at it and saying, "now that I know who NOT to hire!"

Seriously a video can hurt you more than help you! There is a guy in my area that does a good show and is funny but his video sucks because it shows a routine that parents do not understand as they are not at the show. It is a funny bit but it comes off as boring on video. A video makes no sense to someone who does not know and understand yout character and personality.

Thanks for the advice.
What would be your advice on a UPS?
How could I stand out more, and grab attention better?

A USP is something that only you will be able to figure out. Ask yourself, "What do I do, that is different from others in my area?" Maybe you do ventriloquism, maybe you do giant balloon creations, maybe you are the only full-time professional children's magician in the area. I don't know what IT is, but you do. What makes you UNIQUE as an entertainer? That's your USP. It can be phrased as a slogan, but a slogan is not necessarily a USP.

Just as Scott O says...only YOU can determine this!

Also, put lots of smiling kids on your site. It helps to create the picture that you can make kids happy.

Thanks for the input, I will start working on getting the pics.
Do you need a permission form signed by parents to use pics of kids on the web sites?
