I remember Tom Baxter did this trick to me at my local magic store 8 years ago, and I still can't stop thinking about it.

He has two cards, places them on the table, and I always choose the wrong card!!!

I have seen Derren Brown do it with envelopes and cards with "yes" "no" written.

If one card was face up and the other was face down its a variation of the two card Monte down in the open on a table. If so you just got bashed over the head with a 2 dollar trick. The thing kills its so good I hate to even post its name here.

Just a quick story I never did a lot of card stuff so the first time I saw the thing I got bashed with it too. The guys still trying to figure out the mental effect I hit him with 20 some years later HA.
