Yes, I am a fan of reason, inquiry, and open mindedness. Very much so. I also agree that testing methods are rarely, if ever, perfect. I don't recall dismissing anything--where did I do that?

Why are the proponents of remote viewing so reluctant to define it, and so reluctant to say what would constitute a fair test?

Many took part in goverment projects. Some may be honoring the oath they took, others may be afraid of prison. Of course some are fakes. It is also possible that they cannot really define it themselves.

Now back to the topic, Randi, Randi, Randi...

I don't doubt that there were government projects involving remote viewing. If the people involved can't talk about it, then that's not much help here. Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that remote viewing is real. Then we can test it, right? Tony, why can't we set up a test with an RV'er?

That's just it Tony. I have tried two different approaches on Major Dames site. One hard and to the point. I got kicked off. I tried another (under another name) with a soft approach. I asked question about purchasing his DVD etc. I really never even cornered anybody. I just asked questions about how they set up a true test. Again shut down. It is frustrating. I want to think RV is real. I find it hard to think it is real when nobody can step up and do a challenge. Sure Jack can come up with his own challenge and do it. While that is entertaining and probably mind blowing it does not answer questions.

Why can't an RVer do a test that is not their own? I find this really odd. If you can see into another room without being there. Why can't you just tell me what the room looks like? Right now I would settle for less detail (getting away from what object is in a box and what number is written down those obvioulsy can't be done). Tell me what furniture is in the room. Where are things positioned? What color are objects in the room? Is there carpet or tile or hard wood? What color is the floor? Where is the door and or window in the room? What color is the walls? etc etc etc. Sure you can guess a lot of that stuff, but at least it would be something in your favor of pro RV. So far we have not even seen something as basic as that.

Why can't that type of question be answered without cold reading? Please tell me I want to understand.

Government conspiracy or not, let's find the truth.

1) Is there anyone out there, anywhere, who can remote view (now, not 20 years ago)?

2) If so, is there any reason why their remote viewing abilities could not be tested?

3) Is it just me, or are the test questions being evaded?

If you review the tests and the test results that have been done in the past, some of this will become clear to you. Look at the drawings they make.

I cannot get into more detail for reasons already stated, sorry.

Go for it Jack. I understand that at one time he was in the military and was a Major. I don't think he is still active military. He is out searching for gold with no luck. If you can get him to do your challenge I would like nothing more than to see it.

If RV is real why arnt RVers some of the most well known and richest people in the world? If you have a power so supperior to everyone else it would be easy to make millions if not billions of dollars. If I could see no more than 10 seconds into the future I could make millions in a casino! Why can't an RVer?

Most magicians and mentalists discuss this type of topic in hopes of getting ideas on how best to emulate it. Some mentalist wish to appear psychic, so they learn to mimic psychic abilities. Some may actually have some psychic ability. (Like Jack)
Do I believe I have some abilities that others do not (or do not know how to use) YES! I know I do. Current terminology calls these abilities psychic, I did try to explain some of this in the cold reading thread.

The show that I saw on television said that many of those involved in the government programs died or were locked up in mental heath facilities.

Look at some of the documents on the web, the ones that describe the experiments an Stanford and other schools. Look at the results and the drawings, that will explain a lot. Get some of the names of participants in those test, and track them down.

Just a thought.

It is in your and J acks best interest as "mentalists" for lack of a better term for Remote viewing to remain a possability. It is good business. It helps your case to sell your stuff. If it was totally debunked and proven to be nonsense (I am taking no position in this particular post understand) it would be a horrendous thing for you and what it is you do for a living.

Jim and chichi and I have a problem in that we are looking for honest answers, in a place where for whatever reason it is irreliant, people who believe don't want to give one. This is also true.

This is what is frustrating to us. We are simply looking for truthfull answers from adults. We figured people would answer, ya know magicians helping each other type of thing. We were indeed wrong.

Again for each of your own reasons, most stemming from money, you choose to act as you are and that is fine. I don't begrudge you that right. But now at least it has been said in a civil tone and hopefully non offensive. I meant no disrespect here so please take this post in that vain.

I've been straight and honest on everything I've said. No double talk, I was asked if I could remote view. I said "No." (Although I would try it in Hawaii.)
I've been asked a lot of questions and have done my best to answer those, and give advice on how to research this. My 12 years as an Intelligence Officer with the USAF and my previous affiliation with the DIA prohibits me from answering some questions. I made that clear to Jim and Chichi. Chichi asked me questions on RV months ago and I advised him that this was not the place to look. I've restated my reasons for this in several posts. I provided a research option on homw to find those who have RVed for Stanford and some of the other programs. My last post holds a link to the show that aired on the History Channel concerning this topic. I don't see how that has disrupted your search, I would think that it provides more avenues for research.

In this thread I've also provided "an" explanation on intuition, which some might ascribe to psychic phenomina.

I thought this is helping. Name one other person who has provided this type, and this much information on this topic?

YOU have been far more forthcomming than any other player in this game, and for that I do thank you. But I simply was mentioning why it is better for you and other mentalists, or whatever J ack is calling himself this afternoon, for remote viewing to be "possible".

Tony you have been very helpful. You can asnwer a Yes or No question. Something Jack and Tom can't do. just by saying yes and no you have actually done more than anyone else. I respect the fact that you said "no I cant RV". I can also respect the fact that you said YES you believe that rv is real. I don't get mad at people if they believe that RV could be real. I get frustrated with people that say they can RV, but then duck and dodge all over the place (both on this site and others)

I share that frustration. If that frustration resulted in my offending Tony I again appologise. (but that is the last time!!!!)

No, I think the problem is miscommunication. We all read and write based on our own experiences, understandings, (mis)conceptions, and personal values.

Lets just all move on and see what plays out. Jack may just prove what he claims. Not knowing him, I'm just as interested as you guys to see what happens.
