Years ago I found this photo of a female medium with a crystal ball and skull somewhere online and used it for one of my Halloween seance/effects.
Unfotunately I have lost the original file and would like to upgrade the old card, which has seen years of use.
I have searched repeatedly, but am unable to locate it again.
Has anyone ever seen this particula photo? Do you know anything about the Medium?
Please pm me if you can help.
Thanks.

Have you tried to upload it in Google Images? It looks familiar.

Yes I did Luc. Many similar, but not her. She's a mystery, and a favorite for many years.

Looks a lot like Anna Eva Fay, but I am not 100% certain...

I agree Gaddy, good call. But I still can't seem to find that specific photo when doing a search of her. Smile

Can you make a decent scan of it to make a new one?

If you make a scan I don't mind having a play to see if I can crisp up the image.

Did not see the picture in the above-mentioned book. Great book BTW!

Your search for this woman seems like it could be an effect in and of itself.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

I've just run the supplied image through some AI software and it produced this.

Awesome (a)ndy! Looks amazing. I spent 2 hours searching an old back up hard drive for the original download to no avail. Can't thank you enough.

And just for fun, here is a "modern" re-interpretation of the image as done by AI:

Couldn't resist having a play. Had a go at printing and making a card. Playing with a Rhode Island studio scan, but haven't quite sized it right.

Joshua,

Do you have anything related to Anna Eve Faye or a Fortune Teller to use as a background? Because your creations rock and I'd buy one as an upgrade!

I have lots of fortune telling odds and ends on file. Not a set pack I sell, but could probably put something together some point. Anna would probably be easy enough to find stuff for. They'll be photos, newspaper clippings, letters, flyers, etc.

I don't know if you've read about the Crookes galvanometer tests with Anna. It's always seemed like something that would be nice to replicate. I would have thought it'd be easy enough to gimmick a device like that to allow the device to go off hands free with a reed switch. But electronics aren't really my area.

I've put together a little Anna Eva Fay set. I was thinking of pairing this with Hermetica, but it's not quite the right time period. Hermetica would be a bit a after with the Rider Waite images, so I may make a more general fortune teller set.

A few photos, William Crookes, Houdini, a replica of a cabinet card, ticket, newspaper clipping. Not loads for this one as not that much copyright free, but a few interesting bits for putting a few effects around. Then the Houdini and Crookes links (plus Conan Doyle) to other things I've worked on tying in my multiverse of magic.
