Greetings Café members!

I hope I'm on the right thread for this. I have some old, soft silver coins that I'd like to have the edges milled so that I can palm them better. Does anyone know who could do this at a reasonable price? I thought about contacting Schoolcraft or Lassen but not sure they'd be willing to do this or even have the time to do it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You will not know unless you ask, a simple phone call will give you the answer.

You can do it yourself, get a small suction cup vice at Harbor Freight, then purchase a jeweler saw at a hobby shop, and get a supply of blades, get the very thin blades. Then put grove in the coin going around edge.

Doing this will make the edge look new (bright silver) and not match the rest of the coin. So you can get the blacking chemical jeweler's use to give that aged look to silver jewelry.

Good luck and have fun doing it.
