I normally don't do a lot of YouTube looking, but just happened to run across this dove act by a 19 year old in Korea.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqR7P6STZ8g

He has a very unique act and "new" things. Does anyone know anything about him?
His act is really good.

I like the balloon color change and the Silk Fountains the best. I wish I was that good at his age. To be honest, I wish I was that good now.

I know there should be a better video of him without so many audience cuts. Who cares how many times the audience can point. Oh well, that's off my chest. He has some really unique moves and things that are different. I'd like to see more of him.

Dynamike. I know what you mean!

Dave - true about the video cuts and the replays. The kid has a bright future though if he keeps it up. Very original moves. Makes me want to go back to the drawing board and start over! *haha*

Any Idea what that prop is that he uses where the silk goes into the panel, and turns to a red dove?

Not sure if he is using a John Kennedy reel, but I like the way it flowed into his manipulation table and 'boom' a dove. I had to go back and look at that one again because it stumped me. The kids good, no doubt about that.

I haven't seen the prop before. I know it uses a reel and the silk doesn't go into the prop. You miss the ditch when the shot switches to the audience. It's pretty easy to figure out the method but it's still a cool effect.

At SEAM earlier this year a performer did a similar panel effect. His had a red circle on it and when he reached up to remove the circle it changed to a red lit light bulb. I have not seen it marketed anywhere so I would assume it is not commercially made. His panel was much thinner that the YouTube performer.

I liked the young man on the YouTube video, but the editing was terrible!

The descriptions says he is a "FISM ASIAN Championship of magic Winner.
19-years-old. magician Lim Jae-hoon"
Be remembered for performing what looks like MAGIC, not skill.

Do you know his name or somehow we can find out his name by where he performed when you met him?

Hey Dynamike -His name is on the Vid. *LOL*

Dave-watching it again, I see what you mean. The panel is a nice touch though.

James- so You've seen one before then? I wonder if the effect is in a book someplace?

Kyle - You're next! With that makeup design, you should be rocking Singapore man! *haha*

Very impressive. The balloon color change was my favorite part. He had smooth transitions between segments, and even though this isn't my favorite type of routine to watch, He kept me interested.

Way to bring in new ideas to dove magic!

Gee Thomas, I'm flattered. Thanks man... Just that seeing, this dude's act, and him being the same age as I, I feel I've a long way to go too...This sounds like a challenge!

Really cool act, original as can be.

His cage vanish flashed pretty bad from a magician standpoint, not that anyone else would notice. Just us nit-picky magicians, ha-ha.

On a side note, I fail to understand Asian television. All the cuts and edits... I'd have a seizure if I watched that all day.

I think he has a lot of potential and some new twists to things. But a lot of his ideas have been done elsewhere much cleaner and better before. But he does show a lot of promise. I really don't think I could honestly credit him with reinventing dove magic when I see so many ideas that I have seen before.

The Edits and cuts were way over done.
