I'm about to receive the book NOW YOU SEE IT NOW YOU DON'T... it's a book for beginners. but from what I already know about it, it has cigar manipulations Smile

and my friend, from far away who already had the book for a long time says the cigar sleights can be applied for golf pencils Smile

Dave,

The book really has routines you use for cigarettes, not cigars. A good place to get wooden cigarettes is Rogers (mentioned above).

Didn't John Racherbaumer have a book out just a few years ago on cigars?

I have found a source for the tiny purses. I hope to have a site up and going soon, and hopefully have some for sale soon.

I have a very small one that's just right for the wooden cigar routine. And one just a little bit bigger.

Anyone interested in seeing a pic of them PM me or email me at mystre71@aol.com with your email and I'll send out the pic.

Best

There's a chapter on cigarette & cigar manipulation in Greater Magic. Almost all cigarettes actually, but many moves can be adapted for cigars.

Eric DeCamps has a very nice routine with unlit cigars in his lecture notes, "Compositions of Conjuring"...

You're probably thinking of the "Amazing Cigar Book" by Giovanni Livera and Jon Racherbaumer.

The book by Livera and Racherbaumer is available at http://www.magiclegends.com and I'm not sure where you can find the lecture notes but you might try Denny & Lee's Magic Studio (call 1-888-207-8374).

I'll second a vote for John Rogers' Cigars as well as his lecture notes on Cigar magic. All can be attained from his web site:

http://www.woodencigars.com

His cigars and cigarettes look unbelievably real!

I love Rogers' cigars, although I currently use Alren Studio's Multiplying Cigars set. It a great set, and really versitle. It comes with a full close-up routine.
