This has likely been asked, but a search didn't reveal anything...

To those that do this all of the time, what are some of the best pack-flat play big and surrounded illusions that you've had experience with.

Mentalism things seem to fall in this category, but what about penetration, appearing, dissappearing, etc. effects that could be performed for 100 people or 1000 people in a circus where you'd be surrounded...not worried about cost, just effect.

Thanks,

sd

I can fit mine zigzag in the back of my Saturn SC-2 with lots of room to spare.

And it's a TINY car!

Ricker, what kind of zigzag do you have?

dlcmagic, I have a friend who bought some plans for a sub truck - one that looks great, but unfortunately doesn't pack flat - and I've tried to jump down in it and barely fit scrunched up and able to get the door shut. (I'm 6'1" which I wouldn't think would be too large for an Illusion that's meant for a magician and his assistant...I'm not overly overweight but have room to be skinnier.) Do you think I'd have any problems using this sub trunk size-wise and be able to do it fast enough to make it look good without killing myself?

Thanks,

sd

I built mine from the Harbin/Obsorne plans. it has piano hinges on the side so it folds almost totally flat.

Can carry that and a few other things in the car.

Now the Super=X leviation is a different story LOL. it still fits, barely

I once did some sketches for a Zig Zag that packed completely flat. Seemed completely feasible, but since I don't work with an assistant anymore, I never built one.

Have to go back through my old (VERY old) notebooks...and pray that I can still read my handwriting.

I am a Huge fan of the Chalet Kub Zag! it packs down into a car and it can be done surounded and or up close. You can even put the thing together or take it apart in fron of your audience if you have to without worring about exposing the secret! I get lots of use out of mine!

Hey Guys,'

Well I do a zig zag that fits into a Toyota Camery. It was built by a builder nammed (I think I'm going to get the spelling wrong here) Hans Zon. Anyways...it pakcs fairly small and gets great reactions. You can't beat a classic.

Magically yours,

Matt

Andrew Maynes voodoo box
Really andrew mayne has a lot of things that can be mad to pack flat. I think the other question is what kind of illusion are you wanting and then go from thier.

You could maybe do an Assistant's Revenge, might be a little slower because of the angles, but you could pull it off.

The Zig Zag was originally built to fold flat! Osbournes plans only reflect what Robert Harbin had already created.

If your looking for illusins that play big pack flat you may also want to look at the old arabian tent or go with a blammo box or many of the already mentioned illusions.

Perhaps a door appearance?
Broom suspension?
Asrah?
