Performance only. If you like Harry, you'll see him perform things he's known for.

Chris,

Is this the Harry Anderson TV Special where he had the "sucker" sitting on the beach in a deck chair and he also had the guy inside where he did the 3 shell game on him, etc?

Yep, it's his nightclub act. It's been on TV. He performes Needle through the arm, his monte, and a few other comedy magic routines. It also has scenes with bar gags and the John Larroquete beach scenes.

I looked at it again the other day and noticed one of the spectators he used was Mike Caveney! At the time I didn't know Mike Caveney and I really felt sorry for the him as Harry was giving him a hard time!
Great video!

Dynamite,

Harry is a funny and wise guy. He is also a top performer and magician. Im sure you will enjoy his video as much as I have.
If you want explanations of the tricks he perform, you can buy his book WISE GUY, written by Mike Caveney.
Also be sure to visit Harry's website:

It was a fun video to watch. I found it useful as I have been getting into the three shell game and it was nice to see a performance piece even if it was just to music. Fun to watch

It's a tape of a Showtime special that Harry did years ago, when Night Court was just getting started.

Mike Caveney, Tina Lenert, and Turk Pipkin are in it. They all play "regular" people, although Turk plays the guy that Harry rips off.

One way to make sure you have good spectator reactions is to select your friends! Then they laugh and go along with the show, instead of being embarrassed.

Hi,

Harry Anderson rocks. His comedic timing is flawless, his effects are creative and entertaining. This is a man whom I look at (among others) as an inspiration to come up with creative, funny and entertainin routines.

By the way, does anyone know what the title of his opening music is? Its some Big Band thing that's really him.

This has to be one of if not my favorite videos, Harry is (to me) the best comedy magician) because he has taught me a lot about comedy magic yet has such a style that is NOT possible to copy.

It's performance only, but it is still great to watch. I found it very entertaining, regardless of the fact that it was over 20 years old.

He has a three card monte routine with giant cards called "monarch monte" that is a blast.

Watching a seasoned performer like Harry will garnish troves of information. I laughed and enjoyed every second.
