Lecture vs edited tutorials DVD

There are more and more online lectures these days, Penguin live , at the table lecture, etc. Compared to edited tutorial DVDs, which one you prefer?

For me, lectures are more casual, sometimes you can learn more during discussing, but it’s hard to find or learn tricks cause it’s too long, over 3-4 hours. Edited tutorials are easier to find and learn. Which one you prefer? Why?
