This is finally out:

http://www.bigblindmedia.com/annihilation.htm

I am so proud of this project. The Annihilation deck is one of my favorite creations. And the dvd is my best yet, IMHO. The folks at BBM did an amazing job with it.

We shot some live performances in a magic bar called Illusions in Bristol, and although I used to be indifferent to the idea of shooting live demos, I must say, it does make a difference when you can see how strong stuff plays in real life. The next few projects I have coming out from BBM will also feature live performances.

Cameron, do you recommend this even for people who purchased the Annihilation download? GREAT effect, BTW.

Max, you get a few strong bonus effects as well including two never before released items. And I will say this and stand by it, the bonus material is NOT filler. All of the material is very strong.

Convergence, my card at number routine, is on the dvd as well.

I just discovered a Card Prediction trick that works great with me and it is completely different from Annihilation. The one thing that I like about the Card Prediction routine that I do is making sure they CAN"T figure it out to the point where it looks like a genuine prediction.

I do not have Annihilation Deck, but when I see the preview there are two cards with Markings on the back of them indicating the predicted card. The problem that I have with this is that it would make the spectator think they were tricked somehow and therefore not a genuine prediction.

Annihilation might be a great buy, but I am going to stick with my Card Prediction because I am so happy with it.

Uh, okay. Thanks for the comment about another product in this thread. And why would the spectator think they are tricked? They can choose whatever card they wish and even change their mind. Plus all of the cards are different and shown to be that way. Trust me, the only reactions I have ever gotten with this are stunned and shocked.

BTW, you don't have to show the prediction cards at the beginning. It's just the way I like to do it.

98% of all rational adults are going to know that they've been "tricked" no matter what magic effect you do. The question is whether they find it entertaining and "magical," in the sense of being inexplicable and somewhat shocking. Annihilation hits the sweet spot in all respects.

I just clicked one of the banner in the Café and it brought me to your Annihilation Deck. I like it. Especially with bonus routines. Can the reveal is different cards between each performance?

The reveal is different every time. Unless two spectators pick the same card in one night. There is no force and you show every face in the deck. The deck is truly 52 different cards, no duplicates. The nice thing is that the trick is self working to the point of ridiculousness. There is nothing complicated to remember. Zero calculations.

From a magician's point of view, there are many ways you could accomplish this effect. However, I think I've come up with the easiest and most efficient way using a freely selected card. The principle behind this is fun. This is one of those tricks that you will love performing because the reveal is just as much fun for you as it is for the spectators.

Here are some reviews back when this was sold as a download:

I have the e-book from when Cameron was selling it, and this is a great effect! This is a great, easy, and powerful card trick to perform.

I second that! Gets great reactions from laypeople.
A funny thing that I like to mention is,that during one of my performances with this effect a spectators reaction was :
Errr....those drawings appeared on the cards...but the pen is on the table the whole time.
Maybe I wasn´t clear about the use of a prediction but for him the appeareance of the value and suit on the back of the cards was pure magic!

Cameron has a created a really worker with this deck.
The one in a lifetime setup takes about 10-15mins but then you are ready to roll.
No memory work,no sleights, next table different card.
Highly recommended!

Wolfmaster, do you have it yet? It is, at heart, a simple effect. But if you haven't yet seen the workings, I'm curious if the method is what you think it is. Smile

Ok... I really hate Cameron... I hate it when I have to make stuff... This trick probably took 5 maybe 8 minutes to assemble... Time I could have spent assembling my butter sculptures of Vernon and Silly Billy fighting in a Texas cage match... But no... I got this yesterday... I assembled the ***able thing... Took it to my favorite watering hole for cocktails... And lo and behold... People actually liked the thing... So time spent assembling it... Yuck... Peoples reactions and free cocktails... A winner! But still... Assembling goes against my lazy gene... I mean I had to write on the back of some cards... Fortunately, the Sharpie fumes alleviated my boredom... My suggestion? Buy it...
