Hey all,

This DVD is now out.
Hocus Pocus has it for 19.95, and for members 17.95.
I have ordered mine and will post a review once I receive it.
This is in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

Thanks

Alex

Excellent. The Muscle Pass has always intrigued me but I steered away from Jay Noblezada's DVD after reading some particularly critical reviews.

That said, I'm going to sit on this for a while and wait and see what the rest of the community is saying before I buy this.

Yeah I have Jay's DVD.
Teaches you the very basics of the MP but not more than a few tricks/routines which is what I'm ultimately looking for.
What I don't like is Jay's technique. He swings his arm up to help propel the coin upward which is a no-no (A good MP shouldn't require a little extra push, the arm should remain stationary).
So you've done well WolfGod in staying clear of it.

My rule of thumb is that the most eloquent critical reviews are usually the best to look at when on the fence. If the reviewer still recommends it despite all the flaws then you probably are safe. The reviews I've seen of Jay's DVD were less kind.

Jay didn't nail the nuances of doing it. John Cornelius, who was the guy that brought it to everyone's attention, teaches it on Mike Ammar's classic renditions DVD #1 on the floating bill. Learn John Cornelius' The Coin That Falls Up, The Coin Through Glass Top Table, the Coin Through Swinging Glass Door, and John's beautiful Visual Retention Coin Pass.

This looks pretty good from the preview I saw awhile ago.
How many Magicians does it take to advertise a trick? Three.. One to steal the trick. One to steal HIS trick. And one to write a good review.

Here's a clip from David Kong's DVD. It looked pretty good:

Didn't David Kong use to be an Ellusionist artist?

Wow, definitely been waiting a long time for this. My muscle pass practicing has been somewhat on hold for the last few months, however...

Will wait for a nice review before splurging on this Smile

That's a good question Wise Owl. I kinda wanted to order Shoot's set but I can't find any reviews of it. If you've seen the 'Cultural Exchange' series you'll notice Shoot has at least a few uses for the MP. So I'm thinking there must be some good stuff on there. But then again I don't see anyone talking about it...

I hope there is crediting. Looks like a lot of that stuff is not his.

Shoot ogawa has good stuff on it, much of it is original with him.

It says "Bonus: John Cornelius himself teaches the Muscle Pass and three of his most famous effects".

Sounds like a great DVD.

I'm definitely looking forward to it.
I wouldn't mind having Shoot's set as well.

Just bought shoot's set. The teaching is very thoughtful and details. Excelent DVD set. But it did not have too many tricks included.

I think I would buy Kongs one as well in order to get some effects to play with.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I'm really excited about getting this DVD on the market FINALLY!

It's just been crazy. I did 100% of the DVD myself, from writing and shooting to editing/producing, while in full-time school...

If anyone has any questions about the DVD, feel free to PM me and we can talk it over.

Thanks,
- David
