Hi Guys,

Thanks for the Kind comments!! Happy to finally release Mysteries, too busy with shows, but I found some time in Buenos Aires (now I'm living in Dubai, UAE) to tape it and very happy with the final result...
Lets see, If you have the DVD I strongly recommend to try the 2 finger ring effects, this are now my most powerfull impromptu effects, I use one or the other deppending on the situation. And Double Impact I always performed STAND UP with the audience also standing...this way the angles are 100%, the only reason I performed on a table on the DVD was for the camera setting. And all the effects in Mysteries and Twenty are part of my repertoire, some are difficcult I know, but this is my magic, the magic I do, but for sure you can find something you can use.

Best

Gaston, good to have you here. I was wondering if you could tell me which issue of Magic magazine had "More Discrepancies". I think it makes the original Bannon routine that much better but I can't seem to locate it. Love your magic man! Where have you been working lately?

Thanks Brian...and Magicw Hart I don't remember the issue, but try my one man parade on MAGIC on October 2002, or 2003. I have a Stand Up stage magic show that I usually do it on Resort and Casinos... and I've been around...but lately Cancun (2 years) Tokio (8 months) and now Dubai. Very far but FUN!!

The DVD was great....Cardportation and Breeze are awesome...VV has a great vanishing sequence and the Ring tricks are good if you have the presentation to perform them.

Hard, but strong, magic.

I read the effect, "More Discrepancies" in Magic magazine. Gaston contributed this and a couple other effects a while back. This particular effect is based on a John Bannon effect called "Discrepancy City"(I believe) from his Book, Impossibilia. My only problem w/ this particular effect is that I believe he made the trick more difficult(added moves) when he really didn't need to. Gaston's version leaves you cleaner at the end than Bannon's does, however, I have been doing Bannon's original effect for years and never had a problem w/ the clean up. Further more, Gaston's version is not as clean at the beginning. If you are familiar w/ both of these routines then you will know what I mean. Maybe Gaston can comment on this as he is now on the Café. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Twenty and I will soon purchase this DVD, but I noticed that this was one of the effects, so I thought this was good place to bring this up.

I assume that you haven't seen the performance right? sometimes you read something and seems more difficult than what in reality is. I add the first moves because I wanted to leave the idea clear that I'm using only 3 cards and they will be here on the table one by one, all the time.So from my point of view the beginning and the end is clear. Now, I believe there are not difficult moves an this particular effect, just timing.Maybe requires a little more practice than the first version but the opening and end are very clean. That's what I think you can select one or the other, that's apply to you...

Twenty had a really "cool" feel to it. Can anyone comment on how this one was shot. Live audience? Bonus footage? Camera work? Etc,etc... Any comments on these kinds of details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Same setting as before with different people. I think the camera work improved a lot since Twenty.
