I read a review of the effect "Name and Place", by Bob Cassidy in Penquin Magic. In the review they mention this routine being explained in Bob Cassidy's, "The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy". I have a copy of the book but can not find the routine, does anyone know where it can be found in the book? Thank you!

I have a question for Bob: what would you do if the second espectator lies when revealing the thought? (Even after saying 'we trust you, don't lie now, etc) Many thanks in advance |

It's never happened.
But if it did, I'd just stare him down until he confessed. 
The fact is, though, that I don't pick participants at random. I pick those who are sober, personable, and obviously enjoying the show. |

Apart from the fact that they're both billet effects, they are completely different, both in presentation and method.

I got this download and it was fantastic. Such a clean and straight forward effect. You can always tell the difference between something that has been road tested and something that someone cooked up for a sale. This is a real quality piece.

I'm going to try morphing this as a play on spirit energy. Dead celebrities thought of by participants.. the energy from spirit most interested in joining us influences the paper chosen by the spectator (they want to be chosen!), we burn the other so that there isn't any interference! Then at the end, we give both forces of energy a little of the spot light. Tuned a little to my style. Thank you Bob for the structure of this one, love your work, very inspiring.

I said this before. I'll say it again: I think Name and Place is my absolute favorite Cassidy routine. Brilliant construction, technically quite simple to do. I first found it in his book (I don't think it even had a heading or a place in the TOC?) but the very instant I saw it, I knew it was perfect for me. I've been doing this one for years.
If you don't have the download, I would respectfully suggest you get it, because this routine is easily worth ten times more than what's being charged for it. Outstanding in every way. David

Just started road testing this amazing routine yesterday. Man am I late to this fun party!
So so so so so so so good!!!!! Bob is the bomb. Highest recommendation - but you guys already know that. Thank you to Bob for his love and passion for our art. Genius stuff here.
