Since Morrissey Magic had went out of business some years ago, there are only a couple Zombie sources. The India made ones, or the Zombie's made by Rings-N-Things, and Ickle Pickle Magic. Some dealers and websites may still list Morrissey Magic Zombie's, always check before ordering.

Morrissey was the only manufacturer that made 5 inch size balls, to my knowledge. http://www.larocks.com/magic/ball_magic.htm#Zombie_Ball
Check with them if there is still stock available.

There are DVDs available for the Zombie Floating Ball, L & L publishing .

You will have to make your own foulard do to the large size, so it drapes properly and does not expose from below.

If you are successful, buy 2, as they will be tough to find like right now.

I hope you mean Zombie that floats under a cloth, and not the stage size Floating Ball with no cloth. The balls are very different.

WHY!! ARE YOU NOT ABLE TO CLICK ON THE REFERENCE I PROVIDED FOR THE MORRISSEY FIVE INCH ZOMBIE BALL? It is only $30.00 plus postage.

Oh, I get it now: If you are looking for used or a member to sell you his, then you are in the wrong topic. You have to post in the Let's Make A Deal Section of the Café.

Please list the places you have looked, so I do not repeat your search, thanks.

Yes, a magician did make the Don Wayne Ball into a Zombie, I think his name was Daniels. Seen him at Abbott's Magic on stage, he even glued gems on the ball at spaced placement. The Don Wayne Ball was eight or 10 inches in diameter, been a long time ago. I think he even had it spin while on top of the cloth.

Don Wayne is no longer with us, so his ball is gone. Abbott's was able to get some of Wayne's balls before his death. They sold for $200, not the original $40 they were.

Losander put out a zombie ball that had Tommy Wonder's gimmick idea. It looked like a red Basketball and was in the $300 range a long time ago. No longer available to my knowledge. It was very limited in movement. Being red, and being the size of a Basketball, it was not very popular. The cloth did not even cover the entire ball.

Tommy wonder's ball mechanics was explained in a DVD or manuscript a long time ago. Needed a lot machined parts to create. It had very limited movement as well. Now I wonder where I placed that DVD. The ball was more the size of a regular silver Zombie ball. It was his gimmicks and movement that was the feature of his ball.

I have not seen or heard of any new Zombie balls on the market. Everything is for the Close-up magic these days.

So you could contact Losander and see if he has any of his balls stored away.

FAB Magic Co. can provide a 6" ball and an 8" ball. These are not metal balls, but are lightweight plastic.

6" size - https://fabmagic.com/products/dream-zombie-6

8" size - https://fabmagic.com/products/dream-zombie-giant

If you don't need the foulard or the gimmick, you can purchase the ball only:

The magician I remember who used a Don Wayne ball is Timothy Drake. His older website had a video of him performing it , but that website appears to be currently offline , however it's in the Internet Archive -

https://web.archive.org/web/200510270147......deo.html

There are two Floating ball videos on the page. The one at the top of the page is of his full stage version which combines the Don Wayne floating ball (no cloth) along with a "zombie" version (with cloth). Then scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the second video of the Floating Ball which is the zombie version only. The second video is an excerpt from an appearance on a daytime talk show, so it's not a complete performance ,but will give you the general idea of what the large (Don Wayne) ball looks like in action.

At one time Viking Magic Co. had a 4 3/8" diameter ball, so almost 5" . Currently it shows as out of stock, but you could check with them to see if they expect to get more . The balls were imported from Italy. These were metal balls.

Okay, I have been searching for hours and finally found the European Floating ball Zombie made in light weight material. It looks better then the Fab Magic product, and comes in other colors like RED.

Finally, the last item I was thinking of, I finally found.

The item I mentioned earlier, the performer was Raymond Crow, and he published a DVD called the "Naked Zombie", performing without a cloth. Surprisingly, the DVD is still available at Penguin Magic.

Bairfoot - did you ever find a zombie ball ? I noticed that George Robinson at Viking Magic has the imported zombie balls (from Italy) back in stock after having been unavailable for a while. I've read several comments over the years here on the Magic Café that the Italian ball that George sells is very good quality. It's listed as 4 3/8" diameter, so not quite 5" , but close.

On a related note, last year when Don Wayne passed away Christopher Hart and I were designated as co-executors of his Estate.
Having spent the better part of a year organizing his assets for distribution to the beneficiaries of his will.. I have found about a dozen of his ORIGINAL DON WAYNE FLOATING BALLS!

These were packaged by Don himself and I will be selling these on the Café’ in the near future.
These will likely be the very last of the balls to be assembled.

I don’t know where to post this ... but recently I have been researching wonders works on the zombie and the normal zombie caught my interest, it’s more versatile and and more practical.. I especially like al Schneider’s routine and am planning to buy his DVD and a zombie ball to play with... out of curiosity what is the best stick to get? And difference?
